Built by a Dad

Real swing data, right from the dugout.

KidSwing turns an iPhone into a swing analysis tool for youth baseball and softball — hand speed, swing path, and coaching cues, without a single sensor strapped to a bat.

Why we built this

KidSwing started as a project for one player — a 10U softball player in Commerce Township, Michigan, and her dad who wanted a better way to see what was actually happening in her swing. A few pieces of reflective tape, a tripod, and a phone turned out to be enough to track hand speed, swing path, and the kind of coaching cues a hitting instructor would give in person.

What started for one player grew into something a whole team — and eventually a whole club — could use. That's KidSwing.
